Skoda Roomster Engine Types
The Roomster is available with two engines: one petrol and one diesel. Their
displacements and outputs cover a wide range, meeting the needs of every customer.
The petrol range starts with a 1.2-litre 12-valve motor which generates 70PS and has
at the top end a 105PS model. This innovative three-cylinder unit was developed by
SkodaAuto at Mladá Boleslav and offers exceptional fuel economy and low emissions.
Thanks to its distinctive engine note and strong low-down pulling power, this
engine gives the Roomster real character and delivers performance that belies its size.
The 1.6 litre TDI CR engines produce 90-105PS and strike the perfect balance between
drivability and fuel efficiency. With a rewarding engine note and unusually high reserves
of low-down torque - they produce 230 Nm and 250 Nm respectively, both 1.6 litre units
punch well above their weight. This engine produces just 124g/km of CO2 and has a
combined fuel economy of 60.1mpg.
